Center of Academic Excellence at Maryland (CAE@M)
The CAE@M Program is part of a nationwide effort, sponsored
by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, through grants
administered by the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency. The
University of Maryland is one of fourteen schools operating Intelligence
Community CAE programs, which are designed to encourage students, especially
minority students, to consider careers in the national security
professions. In addition to career opportunities in intelligence, the
program will expose students to careers in the Foreign Service, the military,
and national and local homeland security agencies.
CAE@M will integrate its activities, wherever possible, with other School of Public Policy efforts, especially those emphasizing leadership and civic engagement.
