Join the Center for Public Policy and Private Enterprise and School of Public Policy for this luncheon panel discussion on acquisition reform within the Department of Defense (DoD). Continued challenges with defense acquisition programs have resulted in Congress directing major organizational changes within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. This included splitting the responsibility of the under secretary of acquisition, technology and logistics between two new positions: an under secretary of research development and engineering, and an under secretary of acquisition. CPPPE will be releasing its research findings on how these changes will impact acquisition planning, processes and strategies, as well as other process changes that may be needed. In addition to the Center’s findings, the panel will feature the perspectives of key leaders and decision makers from the private sector, Congress and DoD.

The following people will be speaking on the panel:

- Louis Kratz, Vice President and Managing Director of Focused Logistics, Lockheed Martin Corporation

- William Lucysyhyn, Director of Research & Research Professor, Center for Public Policy and Private Enterprise, SPP, UMD

- Stan Soloway, President & CEO, Celero Strategies, LLC

Drinks and pizza will be provided.
