Sagar Doshi is serving as a Consultant to the Do Good Institute. He brings extensive experience designing, implementing, and leading higher education projects.
Sagar graduated from University of Maryland with a double major in Finance and Social Innovation. During his time at UMD, Sagar first traveled to Honduras as a sophomore with the group Students Helping Honduras, an international nongovernmental organization with a vision to end extreme poverty and violence in Honduras through education and youth empowerment. Sagar won the 2014 Do Good Challenge representing UMD’s Students Helping Honduras and over his four years he lead an effort to raise over $100,000 and build 4 new schools in at-risk Honduran communities.
After graduation, Sagar joined Deloitte Consulting as a Strategy and Operations Consultant. Over the past three and a half years at Deloitte, Sagar had a diverse set of experiences including leading projects in enrollment strategy and student success in the Higher Education practice and demonstrating a drive for social impact through international pro-bono consulting. Sagar was recognized by Deloitte Consulting to be in the top 10 percent of strategy consultants nationally.
Sagar partnered with Students Helping Honduras and created a new organization called 'One Thousand Schools.' This new organization brings together young professionals in a one-week service trip to Honduras to build a school for a community in need. Since launching in April 2017, One Thousand Schools has completed 4 trips, brought down 60 volunteers, and raised over $60,000 in fundraising.
